What is Cool Cake?

We get this question a lot. Simply put, we are a photography and design studio based in San Diego. We specialize in local and destination wedding photography and custom album design.

 The next question usually is; what does the name Cool Cake have to do photography?  Well it doesn’t really. However it has a lot to do with having fun and being as creative as possible; which is our philosophy.

Our mission statement is summarized in “life is sweet”. We have documented and shared with our clients their sweetest moments in life and that is exactly what we love to do and have a passion for.

Hangover in San Diego ends in Civil Marriage Ceremony

Just kidding! Really though, when Donna said that her and David were eloping “for real” and that nobody from Boston knew about it, I had a feeling that this was an interesting couple. They got married on a gorgeous San Diego day in February and Cool Cake Photography was there to capture it all. After the sweet ceremony we ended up at Balboa Park and Crystal Pier for newlywed portraits.
So how did friends and family take the sudden news? I don’t know. But follow the link and see the video that broke the whole story to loved ones and coworkers…absolutely HILARIOUS…Hangover style!

Video Highlights for Cool Cake Photography

I just discovered Viddler.com and decided to try them out. There are a lot of cool bells and whistles but I just found it more friendly for small businesses. Check it out!
I pulled this out from the vaults. We did this promo video for 2009 and have been passing it around to the internet wedding sites for coverage. I think it’s a good kick off to the wedding season for 2010.
